This Estonian family recipe has been handed down from generation to generation for the past 100 years. It finally came into the hands of Siim Kabrits, founder of Chaga Health, who wanted to share its power with the world. And so it was done.
This Organic Immuno Elixir Chaga & Black Berry contains the following ingredients:
Medicinal mushroom Chaga (Inonotus obliquus)
Chaga has been used for over 600 years in Asia, Russia, Estonia and Siberia for its potential health-promoting properties. Traditionally, a strong tea was brewed from Chaga mushrooms and simmered on the stove for hours before a dark, almost black liquid remained that was used as an antiseptic and anti-inflammatory.
Black currant (Ribes nigrum)
In traditional medicine, black currant was used particularly to support the immune system. The mechanism of action underlying this support is due to the particularly high amount of vitamin C from the blackcurrants. Blackcurrants are also packed with vitamins A, B1, b5 and vitamin E and possess a high concentration of saturated fatty acids such as alpha and gamma linolenic acid.
Yarrow (Achillea millefolium)
Traditionally, Yarrow was used for rheumatic complaints, muscle pain and healing wounds. Research suggests that Yarrow can support the immune response, which has a positive effect on overall health.Pine Buds (Pinus sylvestris)
Research suggests Pine Buds may have anti-inflammatory effects and may stimulate the immune system. Mostly inflammation is caused by bacteria and fungi. Research has shown that pine oil from Pine cones has a suppressive effect on bacteria and fungi.Honey

Superoxide dismutase (SOD)
SOD consists of a group of metalloenzymes known to be powerful antioxidants. SOD can support the body in breaking down harmful oxygen molecules which can prevent permanent tissue damage.

Betulinic acid is produced by birch trees and is found in the birch bark. Since Chaga loves the birch tree and often uses it as a host, Chaga absorbs a lot of this betulinic acid.
