This medicinal mushroom has a special hairdo and is referred to as Lion's Mane for a reason! But it turns out: never judge someone else on their hairdo, because Lion's Mane has some pretty amazing superpowers.

For example, it is known as a 'nootropic' because of its ability to stimulate the production of NGF and BDNF in the brain, thereby stimulating the creation of existing and new connections in the brain.

In addition, the Kefir-Kombucha fermentation process that has been used, allows for increased bioavailability of the ingredients.

So give us a "RAWR!" and try the Fermented Lion's Mane for yourself now!

Monk's tea

Lion's Mane has been used for at least 2,000 years for its supposed medicinal powers. There must have been a monk who was attracted to the hairstyle of Lion's Mane and decided to draw a tea from it.

During the tea hour before meditation practice, more and more monks began to notice effects like: more focus and a clearer mind! Lion's Mane was therefore increasingly used to support the mind during meditation.

Culinary delight

In addition to the more spiritual/cognitive function of Lion's Mane, it has also had a completely different function in Asia for many hundreds of years: Lion's Mane is considered a true delicacy there!

Fried or grilled, it has something of the texture and flavor of lobster. In the Western World, Lion's Mane also seems to be ending up on the plates of epicureans more and more often. Tasty and very healthy! What a special specimen...

Fermented medicinal mushrooms capsules

Living Nutrition uses a carefully selected fermentation process for this fermented mushroom supplement line that naturally increases the bioavailability of the medicinal mushrooms.

After the fermentation process, the organic medicinal mushrooms are carefully freeze-dried to ensure that all of the unique ingredients remain intact.

After this, the medicinal mushroom powder is encapsulated in organic, vegan tapioca capsules. Thus, this supplement is 100% organic both inside and out

Living culture symbiotics with Kefir and Kombucha

The products from Living Nutrition are made of a combination of the two most superior fermentation processes: Kefir, made from fermented soy milk and Kombucha, made from fermented tea.

This form of fermentation is also known as "symbiotics". The following differences are found between symbiotics and single probiotics:

Probiotics

Symbiotics

Are grown synthetically in laboratories

Naturally fermented from plants

Only isolated bacterial species

More than 100 balanced and evolved bacterial species

Attaches to maltodextrin, a form of sugar, to stabilize

Attaches to natural enzymes and peptides

Contains no digestive nutrients

Rich in nutrients for digestion

Synthetically manufactured

Certified organic

Prebiotic sugars or fiber added

Wide range of natural prebiotics

Many naked, exposed bacteria

A complete, living ecosystem in harmony with the digestive microbiome

Fermented Soy Milk in Living Nutrition

Living Nutriton uses fermented soy milk for the Kefir fermentation process. In fact, sprouted soybeans contain a host of exceptional properties, including a unique balance of nutrients such as amino acids and polyphenols.

After the fermentation process, these nutrients form compounds that provide wonderful support for the digestive process, the healing of tissues and for creating the optimal environment for a healthy microbiome in the intestines.

Organic Fermented Lion’s Mane contains:

Health benefits of Lion's Mane

Research on Lion's Mane (LINK TO BLOG) indicates that it contains two important active ingredients:

  • Hericenones
  • Erinacins

These constituents have both been shown to stimulate NGF (nerve growth factor) and BDNF (brain derived neurotrophic factor) which stimulates existing and new connections in the brain.

Fermentation health benefits

Research suggests that regular consumption of fermented foods may reduce the risk of certain cancers, it may support the immune system, it may protect the health of the gastrointestinal tract and urinary tract, and it may alleviate symptoms of Crohn's disease and irritable bowel syndrome. Probiotics and prebiotics

The fermentation process significantly increases the level of nutrients which are, in this way, pre-digested into a bioavailable form. New nutrients are thereby created together with a wide range of metabolic and digestive enzymes, which are also sometimes called probiotics or prebiotics.
